Celtic Community Services Limited aims to offer a high-quality professional, flexible support service for adults experiencing substance dependency issues, alcohol related dementia and other alcohol related illnesses. We also support adults with mental health, dual diagnosis and neurodiversity.
Our support is available to all individuals, as a referral from a social worker, GP/healthcare provider or private referral.
We can offer support every day between 9am to 5pm. Prior to support commencing, we conduct risk assessments on all new individuals and their homes. We work with the individual, their social worker, family member or advocate to assess what support is required which is reviewed on a regular basis. We accept direct funding or direct payments; we also accept private referrals.
This involves assisting the individual with all financial matters, including benefits, bank accounts, utility bills and budgeting. A digital safe will be installed in the individual’s home for all money and cards to be safely and securely housed. All transactions are recorded and receipts are kept for monitoring and are subject to audit. The individual will be asked to sign for all transactions. Staff members will never hold PINs for any accounts.
We offer support with ordering, collecting and administering of medication. A digital safe will be installed in the individual’s home for the safe storage of medication along with a (MAR) medication administration chart. We will use a GP and pharmacy of the individual’s choice.
We will assist the individual to reduce the level of alcohol consumed daily, once it has been agreed by all parties. Staff will either purchase alcohol on behalf of the individual or will assist them to purchase their daily allowance. Our aim is harm reduction by reducing the amount of alcohol purchased and consumed over an agreed timescale. Once agreed, we will also breathalyse the individual at each visit.
Our services are person-centred; we make sure that all individuals have our full attention and support to ensure they reach their personal goals.
